Raise Your Voice, Change the World

Gillibrand is a former tobacco attorney who changed from moderate to liberal when she rose from a conservative New York House district to take Hillary's old Senate seat. She wants to be the Democrat nominee in 2020, and is currently seeking notoriety by ostentatiously attacking Trump. --- I don't recommend this book, but if you want it, you might as well hear the Audio version as I did, so you can assess Gillibrand's voice and manner. I will repeat my Audio comment. --- Hillary wrote a foreward, read by an actress, troweling on praise to a nauseous level. Gillibrand then reads her book in a childish, petulant voice reminiscent of Dan Quayle. --- Women should have everything. They must take over the country and change it to their own liking. All women must join in the quest for self-advantage. --- She boasts of tough female forebears -- her karate-expert mother, and her valiant grandmother who threw her drunken grandfather out. Gillibrand owes her own superior toughness to these rugged predecessors. --- To prove how tough she is, Gillibrand sprinkles her narrative with profanities, and revels in her use of "f__k" in addressing senior colleagues, reading aloud with pride and pleasure -- a truly feminine contemporary female leader. --- I gave up after a few minutes, feeling I had had enough.
