You’ve Got Mail is love story with a modern twist that beautifully adds to the plot and premise of the entire movie. This film is really good in my opinion I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars as it is a very sweet heartfelt movie but quite cheesy at some points. This movie stars Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, the love interests of the film. Now in this film it shows us the point of view of a top business man who runs multiple chains of stores. Whereas on the other side of things we see the independent shop owner just trying to stay afloat from all the big corporations. These two very different characters connect over a chat and begin to email, I know in this day in age it sounds outdated and is probably unrealistic if the plot took place in this day in age. The film is unlikely to happen in the real world, even at the time but that adds to the magical aspect to the movie that brings us all some hope that we will find “the one”. It is a very interesting dynamic as they meet many times in the film but have no idea that they have met who they have fallen in love with. Overall, I very much enjoyed the movie and recommend it to anyone looking to have a good love story that isn’t too sad. - @HonestE of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library Kathleen Kelly (Meg Ryan) loathes Joe Fox (Tom Hanks), after all, he is the reason why her bookstore is struggling to attract customers. After Joe opens a corporate book store just across the street, how can her modest store compete with his discounts? When Kathleen starts an online relationship with NY152 she falls head over heels with this mysterious man although she is in a relationship with someone else. Unbeknownst to Kathleen, this mystery man is, as expected, Joe Fox. Eventually, Joe realizes that the girl of his dreams is in fact Kathleen. Now, he must try to win her over and make her forget that they hate each another. I was so excited for this movie since in reunited Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan after Sleepless In Seattle. Unfortunately, its anticlimactic ending made this movie a huge disappointment. - @Vaseline of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
