This is an outstanding book, loaded with infectious optimism, great ideas from sprouting and mushroom growing, to growing vegetables on a balcony or even in bottles. The stories of real people making real contributions to urban agriculture are very encouraging. An excellent discussion of whether organic methods can feed the world starts on p.288. (The only drawback is that he did not mention how convenient it is to grow mushrooms from pre-prepared kits. This is so much easier for the layperson, and can offer great harvests and entertainment for the family as you watch the mushrooms grow and enjoy the harvest.) I loved the sprout anecdote, where the student/sprout entrepreneur discusses his costs and business delivery method. I highly recommend this book, which is easy to read and has a nice number of illustrations. Request this book today!
