Born Helen Folasade Adu (in 1959), Sade (pronounced Shar-Day) is a truly gifted singer/songwriter who has been a noteworthy influence in the pop music industry for thirty years now. Born in Nigeria, Sade's family emigrated to Britain in the early 1960s. At an early age Sade became interested in becoming a singer. With her deep, husky voice and her preference for a smooth jazz/soul sound, Sade became an instant sensation with the release of her debut album "Diamond Life" in 1984. A 4-time Grammy Award winner, to date Sade has ten albums to her credit, six of which have gone multi-platinum. This "Best Of" collection contains 2 CDs of thirty songs (from the years between 1984-2010), such as - Smooth Operator, Sweetest Taboo, Still In Love With You, and, Moon & the Sky, to name but a few.
