An interesting, disturbing movie. I found it very unorthodox, almost disgusting at some parts. Even though it had to be the most unusual movie I have ever seen, it was on of the most thought provoking. Fantastic acting by both Ruth Gordon and Bud Cort, but particularly from Cort. It would take quite a bit of skill to be able to play perturbed Harold which such finesse. However, I must add that I did not appreciate Maude's "hippie" way of thinking. It was a little obnoxious at times. She had obviously influenced so much so that Harold was dancing in the hills playing Cat Stevens on his banjo after she passed. Most of this movie I couldn't quite understand, but the parts I did, I enjoyed. I know I won't watch this movie ever again, but it was an experience.
