Born in Orillia, Ontario (in 1938), singer/songwriter/musician, Gordon Lightfoot (now 76 years old) has been a successful recording artist for five decades now (and he's still going strong). A 16-time Juno Award winner, Lightfoot's obvious talent as a gifted songwriter is well-noted for being instrumental in clearly defining the genre of folk-pop music during the 1960s and 70s. To date, Lightfoot has more than 200 recordings to his credit. And many of his songs have been recorded by some of the biggest names in the music industry, such as - Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Judy Collins and Johnny Cash, to name but a few. This "Greatest Hits" CD contains 20 tracks in all (recorded between the years of 1966-1993). 4 of my favourites are - Carefree Highway, Summer Side Of Life, Go-Go Round, and Stay Loose.
