It's all about love and holiday cheer in London. The Prime Minister is smitten with his caterer; a widower's young son nurses the ultimate schoolboy crush; a writer falls for his Portuguese housekeeper; a devoted wife and mother copes with her potentially unfaithful husband; and a lovelorn American is desperately attracted to a colleague.

Love Actually is one of the best movies to watch with any loved one. The story follows multiple people's experiences with love and serves to show how the world is actually full of love, not the opposite. Most of the stories are extremely heart warming and the movie features a full cast of incredible actors, like Alan Rickman, Liam Neeson, and Keira Knightley. All of which are super convincing actors, and make the film very enjoyable to watch. It's also a perfect movie for christmas time, although it's very watchable any time of the year. The film will no doubt leave you feeling happy. 5/5 - @ecozone's of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library

Wonderful entertaining film, Hugh Grant was at his best...really made me laugh!

Why is this so highly recommended?
The plot is choppy and barely strung together. The romance is forced, fake and barely even there.
It's basically a movie about a bunch of random people who are sometimes foggily connected. Several cheat or are cheated on (yay, warm fuzzy christmas feelings there), and the others are literally porn stars, one woman who can't assert boundaries and so always answers the phone and misses on love, a newlywed who finds her hubby's best friend has the hots for her, and a fallen rock star who makes fun of himself and everyone around him to get back into the ratings.

Despite the great cast- it's horrendous. Truly one of the worst movies ever. It's so bad (and I'm easily entertained) I am writing my first review here. Shows actors are nothing without a good script to go along with.

This movie falls into the category of rare movies that are best NEVER seen. Not even once.
I think the only reason it was so highly rated is you get to see two sets of boobs, the making of a porno, and some of our fave actors dancing. Yep. Thats it.

It's Christmastime in London and we are spending it with a charming ensemble of lovely Brits who are all experiencing love in their own individual ways. Appealingly played by a cast of familiar faces you've come to expect in British cinema: Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Alan Rickman, Keira Knightly, Liam Neeson, et al. We see the joys and frustrations of love in all the phases of life: the wonder and awkwardness of discovering new love, the celebration of young marriage and sorrows of relationships coming apart, the pain of unrequited love, love and responsibility towards family and friends, and the tempting intrigue of what could be possible. I love this movie and it has become a holiday tradition in my house. Yes, it has its flaws; a couple of the storylines strain credibility but will make you smile, and fat jokes really fall flat in this day and age. You may have to explain a couple of awkward scenes to any children in your home. But the story works its own special brand of magic, with certain characters capturing your heart. Of special note is Thomas Brodie-Sangster as young Sam with his crush on his classmate, and Rowan Atkinson nearly steals the show as the world's most frustrating store clerk. As in real life, not all of the relationships will work out, but at the end it will leave you smiling.

Funny. Poignant. Real (sort of). Recommended.

A wonderful totally fanciful feel-good romantic comedy. Not just one romance, but many. If that sort of thing doesn't appeal to you, you're likely to hate this. I love it!

Outside of this movie, Bill Nighy is one of my favorite actors. His role in this one, though, is revolting and crude. Disgusting, really. But it doesn't ruin the rest of the movie for me. It's nice to see Liam Neeson in a non-violent role for once.

I watched this movie so many times and never got tired of it. It’s genuinely funny, adorable with very good sound track too. “ Love theme suite” by Graig Armstrong is wonderful! Pure pleasure to watch any time, but especially for holidays. Don’t miss it!

Cute actually! And that is why I was a bit disappointed at the (usual) bashing of Americans—portrayed by the British Prime Minister against the (jerk) American President. (It surprised me to learn when I first moved to the US that French and British don’t like Americans; I guess they have very short memories.) I was also a bit taken aback by the obscenities Lian Neeson’s characters tells his 10 year-old step son. Bill Nighy, always hilarious when he does comedy, surprisingly ridicules British with his music rerun—on the bad taste of people. Other than that, a cute movie. It is just a pity that directors can no longer produce the “clean” romantic comedies of the past; I can never understand why they must be made R—and this one was properly rated so, by the way.

Love's various forms and stages shown through a conglomerate of "six degrees of separation" relationships. Watch the deleted scenes. This film was origianlly 3 1/2 hours long and I enjoyed the cut scenes enough to have watched them if they had been included in the movie and took it back to the origianal running time.

Hurry up big boy, I'm naked and I want you at least twice before Jamie gets home.

Jamie: Beautiful Aurelia, I've come here with a view of asking you to marriage me. I know I seems an insane person - because I hardly knows you - but sometimes things are so transparency, they don't need evidential proof. And I will inhabit here, or you can inhabit with me in England.
Sophia Barros: [in Portuguese] Definitely go for England, girl. You'll meet Prince William - then you can marry him instead.
