Wow. I hadn't read any of Shannon Mullett-Bowlsby's books before but I don't think this would compare either way. This pattern book highlights what crochet is supposed to be, 3-D, freeform and very dramatic. Many of these patterns for shrugs, sweaters and vests have a 3-D pattern with lots of open space. Some are designed with inventive design techniques. All of these patterns surprise and amaze you. If you want a garment that is out of the ordinary, these patterns are for you.
