I've been trying to learn to crochet for years and now I'm addicted! I love this book. Excellent, clear instructions, as well as easy-to-understand diagrams make this a must read. The patterns are modern and colorful. Each pattern also has suggestions for color combination to achieve certain effects or larger projects to make from the individual mandalas.
