Okay, but no plot to speak of. It feels like it *should* be a really fun book to read, but it doesn't actually play out that way (for either me or my mother reading it to my son - and I'm the type who does all the voices). I think there need to be more connecting words. The target age range is too young to "get" the "dessert is a moose" joke, but my son was bothered that the moose didn't show up on the last page that had all the animals.

Not a bad book, but not award worthy in our opinion.

So many good illustrators are coming to the front of the line with their own stories! This gem by Ross Baruch has a simple story line and bright, imaginative illustrations and yet, does not talk down to the young reader. I was thoroughly entertained by reading the book and would love to share it with my grandkids. (So many books to buy and not enough space to hold them; thank goodness for the library)

A hilarious book about a visit to a very zany restaurant! Great for Story Time!

A fly in your soup? Try a giraffe, or an alligator, or a lion--each served up by an increasingly bedraggled waiter. Plenty of word-play and silly illustrations make this fun to read, and the final punch-line (about dessert...can you guess which animal?) will get lots of laughs.

This books takes the classic fly-in-my-soup joke to the next level. Funny
