Star Wars Return of the Jedi is the third movie in the star wars series by George Lucas and the last following Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Han Solo. The movie starts off with Jedi knight Luke skywalker, princess Leia Organa, Lando Calrissian, Chewbacca, R2-D2 and C-3PO trying to sneak into Jabba the hut's palace in order to free Han from being frozen in carbonite. They go to Endor in order to destroy the more powerful death star. Luke then leaves to go find Darth Vader and face off in a final battle with him. If you enjoyed previous Star Wars movies, I would highly recomend watching Star wars Return of the Jedi. This movie has a happy ending and is suitable for kids of all ages. Also some of the best scenes in the Star wars franchise are in this movie when Luke faces off against Vader in an attempt to bring him to the light again. We get to see a very authentic transition of Luke between teenager and adult. Overall, if I had to rate this movie, I would rate it five out of five stars

Return of The Jedi is my favorite film in the whole space saga. This movie was thought to be the last movie in the story until 2015 when more movies were made. But before 2015 everyone thought they had seen the last Star Wars movie of the Skywalker saga so, director of Return of The Jedi George Lucas had to end it with a BANG. George definitely came through with another amazing Star Wars movie. The music was exceptional, the action was incredible, and the effects were amazing. The story line about how the power of family and love is greater than anything else really shows in this film. Making it more relatable to the audience while still trapping them in this fantasy world. This movie will always be my number one. 5/5

Return of the Jedi is my favourite out of all the Star Wars films. The movie is a conclusion to the entire story and has one of the most emotional finales in any movie. The movie is fairly long but the entire time you will stay interested and engaged. The characters develop more and more throughout the movie and it really makes you feel an attachment to the main characters and the original villain. It ends in a very cliche'd way but it works incredibly well for the movie. The music once again is consistently incredible, and the score for the final battle is just as moving as the battle itself. This movie hits every mark for me and is one of my favourite movies of all time. 5/5

The last movie in the original trilogy. Very good movie that ties it all together.

Perhaps my favorite Star Wars movie. The ewoks are cute, the final battle is great, and I really all the scenes with the commandos sneaking around endor. I've also seen some videos on the background of the Star Wars movies. I have heard that Captain Rex is one of the endor commandos in episode 6!!!!

It is the best movie out of the whole Star Wars Story. One objection: Leia's clothes get a little small. It is not the character's fault, it is the director, producer, and actress's (Carrie Fisher) fault.

My all time favorite Star Wars film. For years I've been wanting to see the film in it's close to original format. When I found out there was a limited edition of the original film on DVD at my local library I couldn't say no, so I placed a hold on the film and waited.

I was expecting the original 2006 limited edition non-special edition DVD. But to my disappointment I realized I had waited four whole weeks (or longer) for a 2013 disc with the awful changes not present in the 2004 or 1997 Special editions. And for someone who grew up with the 2004 Special Edition, this new "updated" version of the film is by far the worst.

If you are expecting the original (maybe not the best quality) version of 'Jedi' you won't get it, just the new unnecessarily, highly tampered version with the infamous Vader "Nooo!". For now it's just better going online and downloading the fan-edits/preservation's of the films like the De-specialized Editions until Disney somehow releases the highly demanded unaltered HD versions of the trilogy in the (hopefully) near future.

Why does the library have only ONE copy of this, when there are 47 holds at the time I'm writing this? My hold is 12 in line but good luck to me ever getting this, with the way the library manages holds - no one is ever going to return this damn' movie to Waterdown! I've twice suggested that the library buy additional copies, since clearly this is still very popular - have no idea if my suggestions have fallen on deaf ears but that's what it seems like....

SPECIAL EDITION hands down! The Sarlacc actually has a HEAD, you get to see nice shots of Tatooine, Naboo, Bespin, and Coruscant not to mention Anakin Skywalker's spirit looking like a Jedi again. BEST of all.. LOTS of new additions to Jabba the Hutt's house band, including the 3 dancers Rystall Sant, Greeata Jendowanian, and the lovely Asian Twilek Lyn Me! JABBA THE HUTT has some TASTE! ;)

Howard Hawks once said a great movie is three good scenes and no bad ones–unfortunately, this installment has three good scenes (rescue of Hans from Jabba, the assault on the empire shield generator, and Luke’s confrontation with Vader) and no other ones (and it still somehow manages to feel disjointed). Still great fun, just a bit overlong for what it is.

The novelty of the 1st & 2nd films may be lost on some. Let's face it, in 1977, 12 year old children become enamoured with the characters and the story, but 6 years on, they're 18, so part of that original demographic is jaded. It doesn't help that the triumphant finale is dependent on Ewoks and Darth Vader isn't such a bad guy after all; the main characters prevail, the force continues and apparently there will be a 7th film courtesy of Disney™.

Darth Vader: Luke... help me take this mask off.

Luke: But you'll die.

Darth Vader: Nothing... can stop that now. Just for once... let me... look on you with my *own* eyes.

[Luke takes off Darth Vader's mask one piece at a time. Underneath, Luke sees the face of a pale, scarred, bald-headed, old man - his father, Anakin. Anakin sadly looks at Luke but then gives a tired smile]

Anakin: Now... go, my son. Leave me.

Luke: No. You're coming with me. I'll not leave you here, I've got to save you.

Anakin: You already... have, Luke. You were right. You were right about me. Tell your sister... you were right.

[Anakin smiles and his eyes begin to droop slumps down in death while giving one last dying breath]

Luke: Father... I won't leave you.
