An Amish girl sets off in search of her wealthy mom who originally gave her away for adoption, only to encounter her mother's abusive husband who's cleverly determined to steal her rightful inheritance. The plot is far-fetched at times and it's unclear why, given a time-sensitive and sad situation, the story line plods along and the heroine procrastinates in telling the truth.

I have not read the book that this was based on. I did enjoy the movie. The changing of the actresses in the main character was a bit distracting but I got over it. Those who like Amish Fiction and Hallmark movies would like this one

This was a beautiful story, I have read Beverly Lewis books so I was eager to watch this. It started off rather boring but then it was beautiful and touching. The ending was an immense fail though. (To add, i'm not sure why the beauty on the DVD cover is between 2 men like she must choose between them or something, there was hardly any romantic element explored as those men barely showed up)

Light typical TV movie but I enjoyed it. Ending is left hanging. Set up for a sequel?

I hope there is a three where Daniel & Katie get married!
