This book is a sequal and should be read after first reading Once a Spy. The general story is a creative take on the standard superspy who cannot fail by giving the spy Alheimer's disease and having his son get caught up in both taking care of his father as his memory worsens and having to learn to deal with the insane level of violence in his father's espionage world. You will not get it if you don't read the first book.

I didn't get this book. It launched into a story without a pre-amble, or any lead in. It was like a conversation midway, where you knew neither the people talking, or the subject of the conversation.

I kept going back to the front of the book to see if I missed something.

And then it just wasn't that interesting - the characters were odd, and kept mentioning how little they knew about each other, which was unusual considering how much they sacrificed to help each other.

I've read books that were trickier, but they kept my interest. This book didn't.

I should note that spy-novels aren't my thing, so take my review with a grain of salt.
