Poppy Wyatt has never felt luckier. She is about to marry her ideal man, Magnus Tavish, but in one afternoon her "happily ever after" begins to fall apart. Not only has she lost her engagement ring in a hotel fire drill but in the panic that follows, her phone is stolen. As she paces shakily around the lobby, she spots an abandoned phone in a trash can. Finders keepers! Now she can leave a number for the hotel to contact her when they find her ring. Perfect! Well, perfect except that the phone's owner, businessman Sam Roxton, doesn't agree. He wants his phone back and doesn't appreciate Poppy reading his messages and wading into his personal life. What ensues is a hilarious and unpredictable turn of events as Poppy and Sam increasingly upend each other's lives through emails and text messages. As Poppy juggles wedding preparations, mysterious phone calls, and hiding her left hand from Magnus and his parents . . . she soon realizes that she is in for the biggest surprise of her life.

I do rather like this author, though I prefer some of her older books to her newer ones. But if you're looking for good British humor with just a touch of psycho and romance, than I'd suggest you read this book, and if you like it, check out some of her other ones.

This cd book is one of our all-time favorites. We've listened to it many times as we travel in the car and it always entertains. It's a funny mystery/romance revolving around a cell phone, and the narrator is perfection. A true delight I have recommended many times.

This book a sort of Rom-Com farce that could have been funny. But for a farce to be funny, it usually needs a light touch. I needed whimsy and I found the narrator's delivery far too heavy, too aggressive. Poppy is a dishonest, self-absorbed, shallow, not very bright scatterbrain. Possible humour was crushed by the very annoying voice of the audiobook narrator. For at least 2 of the characters, she used a rough frog-in-my-throat, weird voice that grated on the ears, as did the many other spots where her voice went raspy. Sam's voice sounds like a sort of malfunctioning robot and he went from being a bass to a sort of high tenor -- not even a consistent voice for one of the main characters. For Poppy she alternated between high pitched squeaky and slight cross-sounding. Of all the audiobooks I've listened to, Entwistle is the very, very worst reader at doing different voices -- a skill that was essential to making this audiobook work. It might have been funny reading in print. But then again, Poppy might just be too self-absorbed, entitled and foolish to be funny.

was laughing so hard reading this book! Easy, light read, with lots of Bridget Jones' kind of humor. The narrating is perfect for the character. Will be looking for more positions of this author :)

I always have an audio book on in the car and am on cd#9 - am TOTALLY enjoying this silly read - so much fun, and I am chuckling aloud at times! I am making excuses to go for a drive just to hear more, but a part of me does not want the book to end. I agree with one reviewer - I love the narrator, the accent and even if I am not talking in an English accent, I find myself thinking in it. As I said - a great silly fun book! I'd recommend to anyone (and I recommend the CD rather than the book [with no accent] ) who wants a nice light funny and entertaining story that will leave them smiling.

Had to return it without listening to all of it because the voice actor was so terrible. Terrible acting and a terrible voice for voice acting! She literally sounded like she was reading the book aloud...very wooden!

A fun, light-hearted tale of opposites attract. Although the likelihood of a fortune 500 hundred company exec allowing a lay person to impact his business is highly unlikely, most of the elements of the story seem believable. Just when Poppy was on the verge of working my nerves, she displayed an endearing quality that made me love her as a main character, which is probably how the author designed it to make the ultimate love that develops ring true. I thoroughly enjoyed this read.

I love Sophie Kinsella. She writes compelling love stories with hilarious caracters and dificult situations. Always a great and entertaining read!

Ridiculously silly, but also addicitve! Fun to listen to the English accents-- might have been even better with a male & female reader, but the narrator did a good job.
