Woody Allen's best. A great ensemble of talent. Owen Wilson is perfect. And Paris? Belle toujours - l'étoile parfaite.

Is life really better elsewhere? Plagued by writer’s block, Gil gets his wish to time-travel back to 1920s Paris and hobnob with Hemingway and the ex-pats. My favorite Woody Allen movie, Midnight in Paris features Owen Wilson as a more stoic version of Woody and Rachel McAdams as his delightfully catty and self-absorbed fiancée.

Fantastic! A delightful, well-written film with a superb cast and an imaginative, intricately woven story. Magical, humorous, and lovely. I could watch this film a hundred times!

I love Owen Wilson and I love Paris (even tho I haven't been there yet). Anyway its a good combo. Totally entertaining! It hit all the right buttons with me. The music, scenery of Paris, and the 1920's characters. Wonderfully put together and romantic.

Yes it's unbelievable fluff but I could watch this movie over and over. Probably have watched it 5 times already. If for nothing else the wonderful locations in Paris.

This is a quirky movie that is a joy to watch. Owen Wilson is great as the want-to-be novelist who wishes he lived in an earlier era. Love, love, love it!

I saw this film and thought Adrien Brody is really scraping the bottom of the barrel with this one. Felt like an audio book instead of a movie. Simply foolish and almost comical.

Rating: ZERO Stars for lack of creativity and intentionally deceiving viewers time with nonsense.

Typical neurotic W.A. script. If I'd noticed he wrote it I'd never have taken it out. I watched about 10 minutes and couldn't stand another minute of it.

Hemingway: Have you ever made love to a truly great woman?
Gil: Actually, my fiancee is pret-ty sexy.
Hemingway: And when you make love to her you feel true and beautiful passion and you, for at least that moment, lose your fear of death.
Gil: No. That doesn't happen.
Hemingway: I believe that love that is true and real creates a respite from death. All cowardice comes from not loving, or not loving well, which is the same thing. And when the man who is brave and true looks death squarely in the face, like some rhino hunters I know, or Belmonte, who is truly brave, it is because they love with sufficient passion to push death out of their minds. Until it returns, as it does to all men. And then you must make really good love again.
Think about it.
