In an age of constant tired movie reboots, this movie is an exception to the rule. A truly great performance by Farrell, Tennant, Yelchin and Mintz-Plasse. A must see for lovers of the 80's horror genre.

I thought it was a cleaver update on the original. Colin was brilliant and beautiful as ever. Witty and at times brutal. i loved it so much i bought it!

Well produced fair remake of original surprise hit. Humour and scares abound.

Not horrible but not great. Colin was pretty good in it but could have had a better more attractive cast. Creative special effects and somewhat interesting back story.

I wasn't sure about this remake, but I am so glad that we gave it a chance. Once the pace picked up it moved along really well.. The female leads weren't vapid screamers thankfully. There is a point in the movie where the vampire is described as a shark, and that is the best description for the vampire portrayed. This is not your typical vampire, and Colin Farell plays it creepy and well. Fun and worth a watch.

The way that current Hollywood interprets vampires, like True Blood, they have the power to slaughter all humans or in the very least, keep them captive to breed and to feed upon. So stupid. This movie, thought I never saw the original, is a great story but ruined by the overproduction that plagues all current Hollywood horror films. Painless but not very good. CGI sucks!

One of those movies I regret not seeing in theatres dearly. The 3D aspect of the film would have been cool to see on the big screen for sure.

The film itself was thoroughly enjoyable. I had never understood the appeal of vampires until I saw Colin Farrell as Jerry Dandridge. Now I may sound bias here but I actually prefer the remake over the original. Probably doesn't help that I saw the remake first and then the original two lol I can understand the magic of the classic though without a doubt.

Both the remake here and the original Fright Night films are definite must haves for any movie collection in this movie fans humble opinion.

“Fright Night” is an o.k. remake of an o.k. film.
