Haven't read the X-men comics regularly for a decade or so. Saw this graphic novel in our teen room and thought I'd see what was up. Not terribly surprised to find the writing to be noticeably awful. Was a little surprised to find that it was written by Matt Fraction, architect of Marvel's big summer event this year, and one of their "hot" writers right now. This collection was borderline unreadable. People having no personality, and stories poorly structured. Blah.

Most of the book is about the buildup of the cast of Generation Hope... and the characters are rather dull. Makes me glad I'm not picking up that title.
