I really like this book, it's realistic and true. When you change schools and at your old school you where bullied (or something else), well when you change schools you want to start over. And that's what the book is all about.

I would recommend this to any male teens who were looking for some realistic fiction to read. It incorporates graphics quite nicely. I felt that overall the main character was too whiney and that Edmond left to much unsaid in the beginning and instead of insights (like the fact that the main character's brother actually died and was going out with Chloe) that should be shocking and enlightening are confusing and leave the reader feeling like he or she missed something.

It book was pretty good. It was a story of a boy who had some very difficult stuff to deal with. He moved to a new school and thought he could change and put everything behind him. He learned that your background and problems follow you where ever you go. I really like the pictures and the journal layout of the book. It only has 3 stars because it did not wow me as much as I thought it would, however it was a good book.

This was a really funny book to read and it taught me a few lessons along the way, surprisingly. I'd recommend this to people who like to read books with pictures in it.

Shows the true depth of the soul. The pictures were really entertaining and so was the story line. It shows a lot of true nature and human action that people can relate to.

This book is absolutely amazing. I love the anonymity of Happyface! It adds to your imagination of the book. The beginning tells you nothing and you actually believe his 'lie' but then near the end you find out what actually happened and it's just... WOW.

Happyface by:Stephen Emond

I LOVE THIS BOOK...this is a book about "happyface"

who is starting over in a new school after his family fell apart.

He meets Gretchen the girl of his dreams and with a smile on

his face he makes new friends and helps fill some of the gaps

in his life. But while making new friends he hids his past under

a mound of lies. Will happyface perish??or will he get the girl

of his dreams??

I truly loved this book. The introduction they give the book tells you nothing about it. But you really have to begin reading it to begin to love the story. What I found great about this book was how the author managed to use a lot of text to tell the story, but made the pages go by fast because of all the little drawings throughout the book. This is going on to my favorite-books-forever list.
The author uses great humor while telling a very angsty, teenage story.
