It was a very interesting movie, but it contains some profanity, which brings down the rating. The movie was well directed. Not highly recommended.

Don't bother wasting your time with this bad movie, they made it to early, should have waited for some of the other books to come out and merge them. READ THE BOOKS though because they are worth all the time. So many books!

I did not enjoy this film sooo much, that I always think of it when someone asks me if there's a film I don't like. I can't think of other films. Only this one.
Shark henchmen were nice though.

Pretty bad. I have been watchnig a lot of these chosen one/love story/save the world teen movies and this one is probably the worst of the bunch. I think I saw it about two weeks ago and to be honest, I can't even remember what its about.

Just another sleep inducing science fiction celluloid.By the time i saw some straight up action,it was too late to really impress me period. If i am not mistaken, this was a miserable flop at the box office;yet on the bonus features on this DVD,there's gleeful talk about sequels that this celluloid really doesn't deserve at all period.

OK Flick. Be prepared though, this leaves you hanging in anticipation of a sequel. You may-as -well wait for the sequel and get 'em both and screen back-to-back.

Started off a bit slow but got more interesting in the final third of this original sci-fi. The special effects were mediocre but the dog was surprisingly well animated.

John's monolog: I hate the most, the running. But it's the only thing in my life that's real. The rest is a lie. Even Henri. People think he's my father. He's not. He's a warrior from my planet, assigned to keep me alive. I don't remember my father. All he left for me was some kind of box. Henri says he'll pass it on to me when the time is right ...

Lots of quotes from IMDb.

John: My planet is called Lorien, but Earth is my home now. It's as good a place as any in the universe. At that's how it's going to stay.
