This is a beautiful wordless board book that packs all the feels in. Perfect for animal lovers, especially those who have dogs who are very emotionally in tune with their humans.... and like object permanence.

In this simple, satisfying story for the youngest children, a puppy loves her ball, looses it, gains a friend, and another ball.

I enjoyed reading this story to my Kindergarten and First Grade students. The pictures are drawn very well and are very colorful. This book gave the students a chance to tell the story. Also the children were able to understand the dog's feelings because the pictures were very expressive. I would highly recommend this book to any age.

Children all around the world will appreciate this wordless picture book. A Ball for Daisy is a very delightful book for children to read repeatedly. I could see the children noticing something different every time they pick up this book. The sequential illustrations and the creative lines and color help readers interpret Daisy’s emotions.

I brought this home for my 2 and 4 year old to read and it was a hit! They asked me to tell the story every night, and we enjoyed guessing how the characters felt and what they might be thinking or saying. Because there were no words, my 4 year old was more confident in "reading" it to herself or her brother (if she knows there are words, she feels like she can't do it). I highly recommend!

I would recommend this book to parents who want their children to use their imagination in order to create a story that makes sense. It is a good piece of literature because it is easy to understand what is going on throughout the book.
A child could be entertained by having them look over all of the illustrations and go back to tell the actual story. Depending upon how creative the child is, he/she could add dialogue as well. This is a great book for younger children and parents so that children are used to telling stories and using their imaginations.
