Having read and enjoyed many of Joe Nickell's previous works (such as "Real Life X-Files" Or Entities", which were entertaining, informative, eye and mind opening).I was

eagerly looking forward to "Tracking the Man-Beasts" However it does not measure up to his prior works. Yes, Mr. Nickell does a good job at exposing the fakery, myth-makiing,mis-
taken eye-witness testimony behind the Man_Beasts of the title. But the writing this time did not engage me, it seemed rather flat.
It came across as a travelogue in some parts, in others almost like a field trip report, so my interest waned at some points. Still I recommend "Tracking the Man-Beasts" for those wanting a factual background to the paranormal (especially since the EPL has such a dearth of skeptical literature these days).
