"Meet six mega beasts. The spinosaurus, megalania, terror bird, acrocanthosaurus, mosasaur and the bear dog were all fierce, gruesome and relentless predators. Each episode is a detective story, bringing the mega beast back to life from fossil clues and modern analogues. From the evidence, scientists reveal how these mysterious creatures functioned and behaved, what they looked like, how they fought, what they ate-- and what ate them. It also demonstrates what these creatures of enormous size would look and act like if they still roamed the planet with us today."--Container.

This is one of the best series of shows I have seen on 'prehistoric beasts' in a VERY long time! I watched the entire thing, including the bonus episode. It looked SO realistic, unlike so many that are "over-CG'd". They also went to a place that had fossilized tracks in a riverbed from one creature hunting another -- which is pretty cool, those tracks have been there for millions and millions of years! I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone with curiosity about what the planet was like near the end of the true "dinosaurs" & into the time after dinosaurs when other reptiles, mammals & fish were coming into being through evolution as well as those who survived the crash of the meteor that wiped the dinocaurs out.
