'Before I read this book, I was using only 10 percent of my Jewish brain. Now I'm rich! Thanks Jew Book!' - JOEL STEIN ATTENTION, G-D'S CHOSEN PEOPLE- * Did you purchase an evergreen tree last year and call it (with a straight face) a 'Chanukah Bush'? * Do you really think your rabbi would approve of Heeb, Jewcy, and JDate? * When a dinner party guest says he doesn't want seconds, do you let him get away with it? Talk about a shanda - your bubbe would be ashamed. Modern Jews have become so assimilated they think Bar Kochba is is a nightclub. They've lost touch with cherished traditions that go far, far back, to 1954, and then to 4000 BCE. It's time to relearn the old ways. And The Big Jewish Book for Jews is here to help. This hilarious compendium of traditional wisdom, recipes, and lore from the authors of the bestselling Yiddish with Dick and Jane offers invaluable instruction on everything from how to sacrifice a lamb unto the Lord to how to reject the first table you're shown at a restaurant. So come. Learn how to deflect a compliment, build an ark, and appreciate pickles. Be all the Jew you can be.

this is both hilariously sarcastic as well as sincere in explaining Jewishness to American Jews. I laughed and laughed while learning lots at the same time.
