Outstanding list of actors and actresses and gifted thespians.
M. Streep is always a joy to watch and listen to. Another classic is Sophie's choice. M. Streep and her coworkers never fail to amaze, and awe-inspire! The Deer Hunter is also a great production. John Voight and others with M. Streep worthwhile always!

Saw Kramer vs. Kramer in 1980 on flight from London. Thought I was happily married! Divorced in 1984! Now 73, kids are 39, 41,43! Four Grandkids, Son-in-law from Kenya, been there, too! Wife remarried, I'm single! What a journey!

A spectacular effort by the main actors to make both of their characters seem likeable in the context of a tough custody battle. This movie leaves you torn in the best of ways - trying to decide which of the parents is wrong and right - and understanding that we all have a right to make mistakes.

Withstands the test of time. Not as mean-spirited as I had remembered it. The DVD commentary was also interesting. Apparently Hoffman was upset with Streep and both were going through very difficult personal issues during the filming.

Usually a movie about divorce leaves me cold. Not so with Kramer Vs. Kramer. Director Robert Benton put a great script in the hands of Dustin Hoffman, Meryl Streep and eight year old Justin Henry. The result was first time Oscars for both Hoffman and Streep. Even the boy playing Billy Kramer, Justin Henry, is the youngest person to be nominated for best supporting actor. The movie in other words, is a winner. Two great stars at a relatively young age make their presence known to Hollywood. They both go on to receiving more great scripts and award winning performances. No one should miss Kramer Vs. Kramer. It is just a marvelous movie!

I am not the biggest fan of the book, "Kramer vs. Kramer", but I was willing to give the movie a try. Overall, I found the movie missing a little bit of charm. Ted (Hoffman) is not a likeable character, and I think the film really misses out by not including the role of Mrs. Willewska, Billy's nanny.

The interactions between Dustin Hoffman's character and his son are natural, deeply capturing the audience's hearts and gazes. There are moments of laughter as well as moments of tears. Hoffman and Streep also successfully portray the bond their characters share even in the instance where they are taking opposing stance in the matter of Billy's custody. Though knowing that the ending is better off the way it is, that some stories are best left untold, and that it enhances the intrigue of Kramer vs Kramer, I nevertheless hope that it reveals more about the Kramers' subsequent life.

The copy I was able to borrow was scratched up, making the middle and end unwatchable and ruining what seemed to be an extremely well-done, beautiful and moving film. Forrible experience: AVOID!

Very great acting from Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep. The ending could have been better, though.

I saw it as a teenager. At the time it made a big impression on me. So.... 34 years later I wanted to know why. Wow, still a first-rate movie. I think I enjoyed it even more in 2013.

Ted Kramer: Margaret, I just need to know something. Did you put Joanna up to this?
Margaret Phelps: No, I did not put Joanna up to this.
