Took about 50 pages to get going but then was ok

It was okay. The plot was quite flimsy and the main character felt unfinished but overall, an okay read

Good author with interesting character. Story line is good and I do not mind the references to his training - gives balance and development of the character.

Look forward to reading the other books in the series.

A great character and it starts with a good premise - but soon 'wanders' . I get irritated with his constant references to how the hero was trained. Often things happen without any clarity of how or why. - |He has promise, and this is only his first novel - I'll try the second, maybe he'll improve
