A pretty good western movie, I didn't know Jeff Goldblum was in this one until I saw him part way through the movie.

Loads of fun. One of the best westerns. Lots of action and high spirit.

Replaced Magnificent Seven as my favorite western of all time (though Unforgiven is very good in a different way). Excellent cast with Kevin Costner in his most enjoyable role, the beautiful Rosanna Arquette (made to look frumpy!) and Englishman John Cleese steals the scene is his cameo. Great fun in the old west and, of course, justice prevails in the end!

Way too long. Too much killing.
Kevin Costner in his youth played a wild one. Some scenery interesting. Great cast of actors.

A sort of white-man's Magnificent Seven Minus Three, or a tame Wild Bunch. A fun movie with a lot of footage filmed between Albuquerque and Sante Fe, some of it probably in the movie set town Louis L'Amour had built out in the Four Corners area he called Shalako. Looks too barren to be at the set south of Sante Fe. Fun movie worth the watch.

I love all Westerns, the story lines, the actors and New Mexico, wow. Best Western to date. Can anyone better it...

This is a great Western from the 80's. This is not my favorite kind of western. I prefer a gritty, realistic period piece with a dark anti-hero. Silvarado is the opposite. Everything is larger than life and epic in scale. The heroes, even if flawed in character by some of their inferred past actions, are all obviously good guys. It's all guns-a-blazin' and aw shucks good guys vs bad guys here. Still, it is wildly entertaining and extremely satisfying. Star-studded cast. Gorgeous scenery. Perfectly scored. Some of the dialogue is cheesy, but it just works for me in this movie.

Love this classic. Scenery is worth it. A lovely part of the country and some famous worthy actors as well/

I saw this Movie on 4-2 (the channel called "This" Movie channel onDigital free TV). I thought it was a good story about a character in the old West. I especially enjoyed the scenery. It was filmed in New Mexico where they have some Mesas.
