This book tries to innovate on the theme of "there was an old lady who swallowed a fly", but it really misses the mark. The plot line is strange and emphasizes a lady buying modes of transportation to get a star for her kid. She hands the child a star at the end. My 2.5 year old knows that stars are fixed in orbit in space. I'm all for fantasy and make-believe but not when it comes to science. Also, there is way too much money changing hands in this book. Is that what we want to teach our kids? That mom can buy and buy till she gets you want you want? I'm clearly not a fan of this title.
