Hilarious romantic sci-fi with plenty of LOL charming surprises. A fast paced script with practically no teary moments often found in such genre. BTW, unusual that all characters and actors in this film were likeable. Amazing!

The DVD has all the bells and whistles as its BR version, with deleted/extended scenes and Sting's "Until" music video.

For a guy like myself to like a love story that is not a soap is something. Time well spent.

Good, basic romantic comedy. Yes, it does start slowly, with a fair amount to establish, but the characters, and the decisions they have to make, are more realistic than in most movies. (Which is odd, given the time-travel aspect.) The "fish out of water" situations are not forced, and Jackman's character deals with them in a straightforward manner, rather than as the usual cartoon fool.

The first part of the film was slightly boring, but it got really good as the plot developed. I was impressed by Hugh Jackman's acting, along with Meg Ryan's. Both good performances! It is a very cute love story! with an original plot too! Most older folks will enjoy this one.

Very cute movie - time travel theme. It's nice to see how men were brought up to treat a women back in time with proper manners and etiquette.

Good story.

The movie is good old fashioned love story set in the present day

This film does the best job I've ever seen of translating the huge risk of committing to a love relationship into a visual symbol (in this case "walking the plank".) The film's plot functions beautifully as a setup for this brief but entirely memorable metaphor. (And Meg Ryan's business wardrobe for her role as an advertising exec ain't bad, either.)

Good - Kate and Leopold (2001) 118 min. Hugh Jackman and Meg Ryan team up in this wonderful fantasy romantic comedy. Jackman is propelled into the future from the 1870s to the present day and encounters the lovely Meg Ryan. A wonderful picture all around demonstrating how a man should treat a lady.

When a rip in time brings together a charming 19th century bachelor and a thoroughly 21st century woman, the potential for an old-fashioned modern romance ignites.

Looks like fans had posted many pages of quotes in IMDb except the commercial spiel:

Fresh creamery butter.
Is there anything more comforting? I say there is. And perhaps you'll agree when you sample fat-free Farmer's Bounty with the genuine essence of creamery butter in every bite. With every mouthful of Farmer's Bounty you shall receive butter's luxurious comfort in your mouth without adding to the luxury of your waistline.
