It's hard to say anything about this without giving the surprise ending away. But it's hilarious, as you would expect from the author, who was also the first stand-up comic in the world, although he called it "lecturing." On one of his tours, the posters read, "Doors open at 7. The trouble begins at 8." Oh, the story about Jules Verne is not to be missed.
