I love that each 'chapter' starts off with what day and time it is and then her weight and calories and cigarettes consumed for that day. An all around hilarious book. Would recommend everyday over the movie.

This started off slow and a bit ridiculous, but once I got used to it and Bridget, I had a fun time! Can't wait to finally watch the movie which I've been putting off forever until I had read the book. Check!

The movie is much much better! I wanted a light funny book to read and i picked this up because i liked the movie. The book is a big disappointment, because i found Bridget character very unlikable and unfanny (unlike in the movie). There is a huge difference between insecure, clumsy, corky Bridget movie personality and a lazy, selfish, shallow Bridget persona of the book. Also, Mr. Darcy love story is very undeveloped-he only sees her a couple of times without giving much indication of his feelings and suddenly in the end he declares that he loved her since the beginning; it was almost abrupt. It's a mystery how a good movie came out of this crappy book.

Interesting book. Reminds me a lot of a grown-up version of Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging.

This book is one of my favourites. I've re-read the book (and the Edge of Reason) many times, and each time I find myself giggling like a madwoman at the same things. The book is one of my all time favourites and it's totally something I'd recommend to a friend.

Hilarious Adrian Mole type diary of a 30+ woman who veers from catastrophe to triumph on an inept quest for love, family, weight loss and a glamorous career.

hilarious wonderful book. I remember reading this book when I was 12. It was like one of my first "adult" books

This book is hilarious. And honestly, it's not too far from how I feel most women think going from one thought to another. So awesome. I loved reading it and could not put it down--I'll be reading the others as well! ;o)

"It struck me as pretty ridiculous to be called Mr Darcy and to stand on your own looking snooty at a party. It's like being called Heathcliff and insisting on spending the entire evening in the garden shouting 'Cathy' and banging your head against a tree." Bridget Jones
