I read this book in one day. The switching point of view kept it interesting. Unfortunately the twist wasn't as surprising as I hoped for but I still enjoyed the book.

Initially, I was drawn to the two main characters. The story was replete with the backgrounds of Emma and Jane who both were involved with the 'eccentric' landlord. The ending was somewhat quick and, perhaps, laid the foundation for a…

I'm bummed that this book has many good reviews because after reading the first chapter or so, I had to give up. I love English writing, but I couldn't stand that the dialogue wasn't in quotations.

great premise for a book and engaging writing quickly drew me in. Though it did veer off and become a little too fifty shades(ish) at times. I’m a little torn by the ending. Though overall, I did enjoy it.

I really enjoyed this book! I kind of stopped reading it for a bit and then decided to pick it back up again and that time around I couldn’t put it down. I was actually pretty shocked at the twist! The ending was kind of confusing to me…

Delaney's debut sensation is an edge-of-your-seat ride that will have reader's heads spinning with the twists and turns. The concept of a "smart home" -- so brilliantly executed in Folgate Street's depiction -- expertly plays on our fears…

I didn't make it past the 64th page...boring and ridiculous. No stars, unless its in the negative...won't be reading another of this authors "works". -5 stars

I was super excited to read this. The story started off well, two characters at different phases of life. Throw in the enigmatic landlord and a stunning eerie house and you have a winner, right? But the deeper you delve into the story, the…

Two stories centered around this house and its architect made for some interesting drama and narrative style in this book. While it certainly kept me reading, I felt like the reveals near the end was predictable and found it difficult to…

Would you take a great deal on an architectural gem of an apartment if there were strange and disquieting strings attached to the deal?

I actually really enjoyed this book and found it a compelling read...and this isn't really my preferred genre. (maybe that's why?) It was an eerie, interesting plot, without going too far down the road of gore. And I felt the book did a…

Dull writing, boring premise. I got through 30 pages and gave up. Pretentious and unappealing.

A page-turner of a read that sucked me in immediately, and kept me interested with all of its many twists and turns. I really loved the premise of this book and its creepiness factor.

The Girl Before is fast paced thriller, told from alternating perspectives of 2 women who occupy the same residence years apart. There was a creepiness to the story that had me double checking all the closets in my apartment before bed.…

Initially I was hooked by the intriguing details, but it did not take long for the redundant and overt sexual content to really put me off. I don't know how it ends, and I actually do not care.

The most intriguing thing about this book is the identity of J.P. Delaney. I hope we will find out in the near future. I am really curious. The plot of this book sucked me in from the start. I like books showing more than one POV and it…
