Superb documentary about a serious problem, that being the decline of songbirds. A wake-up call for everyone.
While certainly an important and well-made film, I found it to be such a downer. Almost in the first frame it has people picking up dead birds that had flown into windows. You won't ever see as many dead songbirds as you do in this movie. It is an important message and birds are a real indicator group to show the shortfalls of modern society, but instead of just showing us the massacre, show us how magnificent birds are so that we are compelled to want to save them. Birds are magnificent and it's easy to show. What this film does do well is to show us the working biologist/ornithologist. For anyone considering working in the field, this is a must-see.
Interesting, educational documentary of the damage of the environment to the birds.
This is a spectacular and eye opening film!
It offers hope and change and things that many bird lovers
have offered they time and energy to understand and share with us.
This is a must see film!!
Hope this video makes an impact - it's difficult to watch but the information is so very important.
We watched maybe half an hours worth at a time because the film is powerful. The quality of the filming alone makes it worth watching. The content makes it a must-see.
Quite informative documentary with scenes from Alberta & Saskatchewan. Great to see that Toronto high rises have laws against reflective windows and how easy it is to remedy with little black dots. We had heard of the connection between insecticides and bee deaths but had no idea how high in the ecosystem it was affecting wildlife. A bit painful to watch as the bird bodies kept piling up.
