I found the whole thing a bit confusing and slightly annoying. Why would anyone try to cover up a crime that happened so many years in the past? I am also confused by all the guilt piled on poor old Ruth for actually going back to her…

I've read the 2nd and 3rd book in this series. This is the third and I found it depressing and a bit confusing to follow.... It all pulled together too quickly in the end. There seems to be less emphasis on the forensics' job and more…

Another atmospheric, excellent archeological mystery with an intriguing cast. Book III of the Dr Ruth Galloway series.

Third in the Dr Ruth Galloway series. Fast paced mystery with a dash of drama thrown in.

Enjoyed this solid mystery and its wide variety of characters. The series is *starting* to lean too much on their personal lives, rather than the mystery, which I just don't find as interesting. If I want the *majority* of a book to be…

I enjoy how very down to earth Ruth Galloway is and the storyline in this novel is unexpected and intriguing. Can’t wait to read Book4.

I am still enjoying the Ruth Galloway series for the characters and the excellent mysteries. I am getting a little tired, however, of the "damsel in distress" endings. Kristi & Abby Tabby

I began reading Elly Griffiths' first Ruth Galloway novel because I knew it was set in England and dealt with old bones (Ruth is an archaeologist). I thought it was a bit "light" compared to my usual mysteries (Henning Mankell, Ruth…

In this story Ruth is involved in excavating WWII bodies found on the beach in the Norfolk area following the continual erosion of the sea cliffs. Novel has the expected suspense when Ruth is placed in areas of danger, but again expect…

These books are always slow to start. (There is something off about the narrator, who is very British and so feels distant and "unfeeling" to an American sensibility.) The characters are growing and becoming much more complex, and the next…

I love the Dr. Ruth Galloway series. The characters are memorable and engaging plus the marshlands where she lives is a wonderful, different, backdrop. I am now on Book 4, ("A Room Full of Bones") and it is as good as all the others. …

This is my new favourite mystery series! This is the third book in the Ruth Galloway series, featuring this clever archeologist who works with the local police solving crimes. Ruth is such an engaging character, you can identify with her…

Another excellent Ruth Galloway mystery. The plot is gripping, but it is the characters that make this series so appealing. I can't wait to read the next one.

Another good mystery in the Ruth Galloway series. Ruth is called in when several bodies are found on the beach below a house that's falling into the sea due to erosion. Ruth is now trying to balance her job at UNN, helping the police with…

I love these books. They are very atmospheric, set on a coastal salt marsh with the sea as a constant presence. Even the minor characters are well-fleshed out and interesting to follow. Highly recommended.

Griffiths scores a direct hit once again with Sea's End. She's found a formula that works very well and she sticks to it. Ruth Galloway, now a single working mom, continues to delight. How long till #4 is available?

This is the third book in the Ruth Galloway series. The character of Ruth is wonderful-she is flawed but she maintains a dry sense of humour about her situation. The mystery is good--a very worthwhile read.
